TDEE (Total Daily Energy Expenditure) is calculated by first determining your BMR (Basal Metabolic Rate) and then multiplying by your activity factor. This gives the total calories your body burns in a day.
For men: BMR = 10 × weight + 6.25 × height − 5 × age + 5
For women: BMR = 10 × weight + 6.25 × height − 5 × age − 161
